B3-45

As a working bluegrass flat picker, I have used shell or blue chip for many years. The Token B3-45 has become my new favorite. Giving me the tone I am listening for with increased volume.

I’m admittedly a pick snob. I’ve used genuine TS that I’ve made myself for decades. Just got a Token green and I love it. Great tone and volume!

I bought an A3-50 the first day you opened for business. I loved the pick but the size wasn't 100% comfortable. I just got the B3-45 and OH MY GOD! It is brighter than the .050" pick and I didn't expect how forward and pronounced the tone is on both my rosewood and mahogany guitars. I consider this pick to be a superior pick in every way. It is amazing how 35 dollars can have such an impact on your tone. One of the cheapest ways I can think of to sound better. Daniel, you and your team should be very proud. You make an amazing tone tool.

Great alternative to my tp48

Seems like my D18 likes and sounds better with the B2-50, little brighter, haven't played on any of my rosewood guitars yet

I have been using Primetone picks for my Guitar for years and after trying the Token B3-45 I’ve not picked the Primetone back up. The Token B3-45 has a nice warm tone and is as smooth as butter in the strings. I would highly recommend.

I definitely like my Blue Chip picks better. I find that this Token pick really does not do justice to the lowest two strings on my guitars. The Blue Chip picks play all six strings vibrantly while this token pick makes my lowest two string sound a bit thuddy and slightly muted. Perhaps I will some day find different strings that work better with this Token.

Really good pick, comes off the string fast for good bluegrass runs. I gave it a 4 only because it comes off the string quickly, it also slips around or turns in my grip as I angle the pick slightly which increases the opportunity for it to rotate. I don’t do a death grip on a pick as it helps me to stay loose for speed,,, so the fix was to put a sticky tab on both sides, or you could use fiddle rosin I suppose. Other than that, it does sound good. I would suggest dropping a couple of clear sticky tabs in with every purchase, easily found on Amazon, box stores, etc , then the customer has them if needed.

I really like the feel of the pick in my hand. And the attack is different from other similar style picks - softer, less clicky. But still feels responsive in a way I like. Good stuff.

I know a lot of people don’t read long reviews but here I go anyway. I have been on a 30 year frustrating quest for the perfect guitar pick! Like most players, I started out with a Fender medium tortoise 351 and then went down the list. I settled on Dunlop Primetone and Dunlop Ultex as my favorites for awhile. Usually a .73 to .88 and then got back into celluloid picks. This time from D’andrea but now I was using the large triangle shape. Done! I love this pick. I still kept buying bags of cheap picks because something was still missing. Then I found the BlueChip TP40. This pick was thicker than I normally used. 1.0 mill but it felt and sounded awesome. Made my Martins sing like they were intended. Full and loud. Wow I was set. But I still kept buying bags of cheap picks. While on vacation in Colorado, I planed to go to Telluride music. I watch their videos and wanted to check them out. I played a few guitars then I started looking at their pick selection. They showed me the Token picks. I had seen a few short videos about Token but wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy one. I played the B3-45 and thought it sounded good so I bought it. When I got home, I kept playing it going back-and-forth between the TP40 and the Token. Then I got to where I couldn’t put the Token down. It is the perfect pick I’ve been looking for! The torlon material, the shape, the perfect beveled edges and the tone. The tone is loud, full and clear. The individual string separation is excellent. You can play hard and loud and it doesn’t get muddy. I was concerned about the 1.14 because I mainly play rhythm and some flat picking but there’s no pick noise or clicking. Just full amazing tone. This is the pick that people who use fender mediums don’t know they need or want until they play one. 100% recommend Token picks. I also can’t say enough good things about Daniel. He’s been very helpful. I’ve already ordered my second pick. A B1-45. $35 picks aren’t for everybody but if you’re playing a high-end guitar, you need to at least try a high-end pick. They really do make a difference. In my opinion of course. Try it and see for yourself. Thanks you.

Finally fund my favorite guitar pick.

I like the idea that it's 1.1 mm in thickness, and a little smaller than the big triangular "A" model picks. I think it is perfect for someone who needs a little bit of flex and attacks their strings with a lighter touch.

Tone is good, rich, and not too clicky. The feel in hand isn't quite what my Blue Chip gives, as it seems to slip around a little easier.

This is the best plectrum I’ve played. I’m preparing to record a Bach album on acoustic archtop guitar, and after a lot searching and trying different picks, I feel this is the one; it makes my guitar sing! I can hold back a little bit and the full dynamics of my beautiful guitar, made by Theo Scharpach, are shining at full spectrum. I’m having difficulty putting my guitar down! Kudos to the Token team! (B3-45)
PS: the material is slippery, so I made the center front and back rough by making light cuts with a break knife for better grip. Works very well!

Great service and product!

The pick has a unique tone, that I like. Bright without being brittle. The only down side is you don't (yet) offer a pick the size of the BlueChip STP. That seems to be the ideal size for me.

Medium triangle (same size as the Blue Chip TP 48, non-rounded w/ speed bevels), slightly thinner at 0.045”: great volume, brighter than the A3-50 that I also own (which is a very bright sounding pick), very low friction as well - but the slippery feel of the torlon makes this smaller pick feel even less secure in my hand.

Both picks have a sort of clicky, chirpy sound on attack. Although they produce significantly more volume than the TP 48, the relatively warmer tone and better grip-feel in the hands keeps that pick as my solid #1 for now.

I like a bright crisp sound. The B3-45 does it for me. New strings, B3-45 on my old Martin sounds like heaven.

My first Token was anA2-50 , I then ordered a B3-45 and a B3-50. I like them all for different applications. I like the tone of the B 's for flat picking . If I want a slightly more mellow tone I go with the A2-50. My personal preference is the B size. Love the picks

I love these picks! I havetried a lot of different picks, and so far it's my favorite. Great tone. Great attack, and perfect thickness.Great texture and grip. I'll be trying them all out!
